Be My Valentine Campaign!

The season of love can also be the season of giving 🫘❤️!

Valentines Day marks the season of love and is a great reminder to show gratitude for those folks around us who we love and who make us feel loved. And, let me tell you, you all make me feel very loved.

This week, Marek and I are starting the "Be My Valentine... help me find a kidney" campaign. You may have seen the first steps of this on Facebook and Instagram (@carolydz), but be prepared to have more information coming your way soon! Please subscribe to this website and follow me on social media for updates!

We are starting by sending Valentines cards to folks we know to post around town and in their community. Please feel free to reach out (carolyn@nckidney.com) for a copy that you can post in and around your community.

Asking for help has never been my strong suit, so needless to say, asking for you to sign up to donate your kidney to me and share my website with everyone you know has taken me out of my comfort zone. However, I've always reaped the greatest rewards when I take the biggest leaps. So, thank you for holding my hand and supporting me through this leap. Your sign-ups and shares help make the leap less daunting.

I'm humbled and fascinated by organ donation -- the ultimate gift. This Valentine's season, remember the ones you love and the ones who love you, and consider the ultimate gift -- the gift of organ donation. To me, and to others. The great thing about kidneys is that you get to know the person whose life you're saving. And, I get to know you.

Remember, having a heart on your driver's license is not enough. Talk to your loved ones about organ donation and put it in your advanced directive or living will to ensure that your organs can help someone live their best life, just as someone's lungs and, hopefully kidney, has helped me live mine.

I would not be here today without folks' loving support, and I appreciate the love and support you have given me by signing up to be evaluated and sharing the website far and wide. In the last week, we've had more than 600 new visitors!

I'm excited for what the future holds, and I'm so glad you're willing to hold my hand and go on this journey with me.

Love and hugs to you all, Carolyn
